Fishing report for the first two weeks of April.
Well, the spring has not let us down. Fishing here in Fort Lauderdale has been absolutely FANNTASTIC! The past couple of weeks we have caught some really nice wahoo (up to 35lbs), the dolphin have started showing up - some of them around 15-25 lbs with the majority of them being schoolies. The reef has remaind productive with the King Mackeral and snapper. We are still catching quite a few sailfish and the shark action has been great.
April and May are really productive months. The fish are on their northern migration pattern and every day is just a bit different out here - it can be a real grab bag!
So, if you were waiting for the right time of year, this is it. We are having a late cold snap come through this week and the sailfish action should be incredible the remainder of the week.
The swordfishing has been pretty productive as well. When the weather has been good and the seas calm, the swordies have been biting.
