WOW! is the best description for fishing this week (4/21-4/26) here in Fort Lauderdale.
Every trip this week has been full of action. The reef is producing some nice king mackeral and we have been limiting out on almost every trip.
The dolphin action is really heating up. Almost every trip this week we have had some dolphin - from schoolie size up to 30lbs. We have been running into some really nice schools of them.
The sailfish action is also still strong. When we have been targeting them, we have been catching them.
We also had a rare treat this week. We hooked a really nice yellowfin tuna (about 100lbs.) Unfortunately, we were using light tackle and he won.
We also had two marlin this week - they were both between 90 and 150 lbs.
The boats that have been targeting sharks have also been really productive. The hammerhead bite has been quite strong this week.
As you can see, the ocean is alive right now and the fishing has been, well, Fanntastic. This time of year is an awesome time to be here. It's not too hot and this bite is on.
Just remember, you have no chance of catching them sitting on the dock. You can contact Capt. Mark at (954) 728-9880 and we'd love to get you out there.
