Another beautiful day here in South Florida.  I love this time of year - the temperatures and Fanntastic and this fishing is awesome.  Today we had Enrico, Tapani, Jaakko, Peeter and Tapani from Finland and Astoria out with us.  The sailfish action continues to be great.  Peeter caught a really nice sailfish and the guys also had some nice dolphin.

Today we had Sunni and Johann from Ft. Lauderdale along with guest, Darlene, Larry and Rodney from Knoxville, TN.  The sailfish bite was on.  They ended up landing 2 of the 3 sailfish.  The largest was about 8ft and was a real beauty.  The guys from Knoxville had never experienced anything like this and the sailfish cooperted by putting on a great show - jumping and splashing - it was really exciting.

This afternoon we had Mark and Bill out with us.  We started off trolling the reef and caught a few king mackeral and then we headed out a little deeper and ran into a school of dolphin.  The guys ended up catching a few and missing quite a few more.

This afternoon we were part of a large group from Centex.  The weather and seas were absolutely fanntastic today.  We started off trolling the reef and it was really quite - not a bite.  The wind gradually switched and we decided to put up the kites and ended up getting a double headed on sailfish.  They ended up landing both the fish.

This morning we had a few of the guys from the Centex Corporation out for some fishing.  The bites were tough to come by this morning.  The guys ended up hooking a few large dolphin (about 25-30lbs each).  It was not one of the better days off of Lauderdale, but luckily that is the exception and not the rule. 

With another front coming down, the fishing action should really heat up again and the sailfish bite should become strong. 

This afternoon we had Anna, Andrew, Isabelle, Jim, Nick and Maria out with us for a family afternoon here in Fort Lauderdale.  We trolled the reef and they caught some really nice king mackeral and barracudas. 

This morning we had Marty, Jaime, Laura, Brimmer out with us.  They ended up catching some nice king mackeral and some dolphin.  The weather here has been absolutely beautiful and the fishing has been really great - now is the time to get out there.

Today we had a small group charter with the Skip Dot, Marlin My Darlin and the Shooting Star.  The guys on our boat caught a nice sailfish, some dolphin, king mackeral and a barracuda.  The sailfish and dolphin bite has been pretty consistent the last few days.  This cool snap has really heated up the fishing action.

Today we had Amber, Jimmy and Troy from Asheville, NC out with us for yet another Fanntastic day of fishing.  We started off over the reef trolling and caught a few king mackeral and then we changed patterns and fished some live baits.  At one point, we had three sailfish up in the spread.  We managed to get one of them to eat and Amber caught her first sailfish - way to go Amber!  As we were going along, we came across a floating cylinder and managed to catch this nice dolphin off of it.

Now that Tropical Storm Noel is out of here, our weather is great!! The seas have calmed down and the fishing is Fanntastic.  With the ocean being turned up for the last week and the strong northeast winds, the bait has replinished in the area - and large quantities of bait mean large quantities of fish.  The sailfish have started showing up.  There have been some nice dolphin out there and some wahoo.
