This afternoon we had Sonny and the guys from Burger King out with us.  The guys ended up catching some really nice king mackeral.  However, we had to cut the trip short - one of the guys was not feeling to well.  The fishing has really improved over the last few days and just keeps getting better.

This morning we had some more Patriot fans - Ken, Bob, Paul, Tom and Mike.  The guys caught some nice blackfin tuna out there this morning.  We have started seeing some really nice wahoo (40+ lbs) and the sailfish are starting to show up.  This should be a great fall.

Today we had John and the guys out for some fishing in Fort Lauderdale.  The guys were down for the dolphins/patriot game.  Well, both the fish (saltwater and football) got slaughtered this weekend.  The guys had some nice dolphin and also had a nice one get away just at the boat.  There were a few sailfish around today.  We had one come up in the spead and play with the baits, but never ate.

This morning we hd Ryan, Cathy, Tom, Kenny and Gerome out for some fishing off of Fort Lauderdale.  The weather could not have been any better if we had ordered it.  The guys ended up catching some dolphin, king mackeral and blackfina tuna and a few bonitos.  We are getting into our fall patter and the fishing will do nothing but get better and better.

Today we had John, Chris, Chris Jr., Christy and Barb from Kentucky out with us for yet another Fanntastic afternoon.  When John booked with us he told Capt. Mark that he really wanted a sailfish.  So, today they headed out with a well full of live bait and the weather was perfect for flying the kites.  Well, John ended up getting his sailfish, a nice 7' one.  Then his son, Chris, also wanted his shot at a nice sail.  Unfortunately, the sailfish did not cooperate.  All was not lost though, Chris ended up with a really nice bull and cow dolphin.

The fishing has been really great here lately and as the cooler weather comes into the north, more and more fish will head south and it will just keep getting better.

Today we had Matteas and his family from Italy out with us for a day of fishing off of Fort Lauderdale.  Matteas informed Capt. Mark that they wanted to spend the day offshore in search of a nice marlin.  So, they headed offshore for the day.  They didn't end up getting the marlin bite, but they did catch some dolpin and a nice sailfish.  I guess today was not the day of the marlin.

The fishing pattern has really started to change here in South Florida.  Some really nice dolphin have started showing up along with the sailfish and some wahoo.

During the daytime swordfish trips, the guys have been hooking into some really nice ones - on average anywhere from 250 - 400 lbs.

Well, we have been having some pretty stong Northeast winds lately, which is not uncommon for October.  Late yesterday, the winds started backing off some and the seas calming down a bit. 

Today we had Lisa, Kevin, Patty, Soker, Carl and Ray out with us for an afternoon of fishing off of Ft. Lauderdale.  The guys headed offshore and found some really nice dolphin (and lost a few nice dolphin - oops).  Soker ended up getting the fish of the day - his bonito.  Despite a little chop on the water and a few passing showers, they ended up with a Fanntastic afternoon and some great fish for a really nice dinner and Soker was so happy to not have to clean the boat after a day of fishing with the family.

Well, the first few days of the month were a total wash - lots of wind, high seas and rain.  The weather pattern finally broke late Tuesday and the wind changed direction, the seas layed down and the sun came out - oh yea - and the fish were biting.

Today we had Tom and Tish out with us this afternoon.  We started off trolling the reef and caught a few king mackeral and a very large barracuda.  We then headed off to about 700 ft in search of some dolphin - with all this northeast wind, there was bound to be something out there.  Well, it paid off, we caught some really nice ones with the largest weighing in at about 20 lbs.
