Well, the first few days of the month were a total wash - lots of wind, high seas and rain. The weather pattern finally broke late Tuesday and the wind changed direction, the seas layed down and the sun came out - oh yea - and the fish were biting.
Today we had Tom and Tish out with us this afternoon. We started off trolling the reef and caught a few king mackeral and a very large barracuda. We then headed off to about 700 ft in search of some dolphin - with all this northeast wind, there was bound to be something out there. Well, it paid off, we caught some really nice ones with the largest weighing in at about 20 lbs.
This is a great time for fishing - the fish have started their migration from the north and the ocean is alive at this time - there is a variety of fish to be caught - from sailfish, king mackeral, dolphin, wahoo - just to name a few - Contact Capt. Mark at (954) 728-9880.
